Washington, DC — The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) is proud to announce that Associate Director of Business Development & Industry Partnerships Sara El Saied, PMP, has been selected to participate in the 2025 Aspen Ideas: Health Fellows cohort.
The Aspen Ideas: Health Fellows are a diverse group of health leaders who are selected for their innovative work, inspired accomplishments, and ability to transform ideas into action.
“I am excited to bring my ideas about improving maternal health in the United States to the Aspen Ideas fellowship,” said El Saied. “Our organization has strong mission and belief that by equipping nurses – who are the most trusted leaders in healthcare—with knowledge about respectful maternity care at the bedside, evidence-based training and smart health technology, we can change the overall outcomes of mothers and their newborns. I’m thankful to all of the support of our executive leadership, board of directors, staff, our nursing leaders and members who work to save and improve lives of their patients from labor and delivery units, women’s health offices and beyond who have contributed to our work.”
The Aspen Ideas Fellows Program is an initiative that brings nearly 300 forward-thinking young leaders to the Aspen Ideas Festival and Aspen Ideas: Health each June. These individuals are hand-selected for their exceptional achievements, groundbreaking work and ability to turn ideas into action.
The Fellows Program provides full funding for these action-oriented leaders to attend Aspen Ideas and network with their cohort of Fellows as well as attendees and speakers, connecting visionary young leaders with the tools, ideas and partnerships necessary to create lasting change.
