AWHONN is pleased the Supreme Court upheld the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine for healthcare workers, but disappointed they overturned the mandate for large employers. The nearly 80 million employees covered by the requirements on large companies would’ve impacted about two-thirds of the American workforce. COVID-19 impacts us all and our healthcare workers, who have sacrificed so much to respond to this pandemic, shouldn’t be asked to shoulder this burden alone. Vaccination is the key to preventing new infections and is important to saving lives.
