Research Advisory Panel

Since 2003, AWHONN has created advisory panels to serve as “think tanks” in a consultant-client model to the Board of Directors.  The Research Advisory Panel (RAP) members are appointed by the President of AWHONN through the Executive Office every year. 

Research Advisory Panel Responsibilities
  • Develop research priorities at AWHONN
  • Review and score research proposals submitted for research grant awards
  • Review and score research abstracts submitted for posters and presentations at the annual convention
  • Select a recipient for the Award of Excellence in Research
