Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
AWHONN holds California and Alabama BRN numbers: California CNE provider #CEP580 and Alabama #ABNP0058.
Accredited status does not imply endorsement by AWHONN or the American Nurses Credentialing Center of any commercial products displayed or discussed in conjunction with an educational activity.
AWHONN requires all those in a position to control content of an educational resource to disclose relevant financial relationships or potential conflicts of interest.
Learners are informed when an educational activity relates to any product use for a purpose other than that for which it was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. Please see the CNE Application for requirements for completion to receive contact hours.
CNE Contact Hours
Since January 1, 2007, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) mandated that continuing nursing education providers change the way that continuing education is calculated. One (1.0) contact hour of continuing nursing education (CNE) is issued for activities that are 60 minutes in length, rather than the previous ratio of 1.0 contact hour for a 50-minute activity.
